Features:

This application uses the basic calculations of the methods to control oil wells after the occurrence of kick during drilling operations on floating platforms and land rigs.

This full version is completely interactive and allows users to define a wide variety of parameters for oil wells and unit system, save data and more.

It is can be applied in the field of petroleum and also help in understanding the methods of well control.

Well Control Methods:

1. Driller’s Method
2. Wait and Weight
3. Dynamic Volumetric
4. Static Volumetric – Migration / Bleed
5. Static Volumetric – Lubrication / Bleed – Top Kill

Notes:
– For well control simulation, use another app “Well Control Simulator“.
– For simulation of leak-off test, use another app “Leak-Off Test Simulator“;
– For kick tolerance analysis , use another app “Kick Tolerance“;
– For drilling simulation, use another app “Drilling Simulator“;
– For hydraulic calculations, use another app “Drilling Hydraulics“;
– For kill sheets, use another app “Well Control Worksheets” (iPad and Mac only).

 These tools can complement (work with) this simulator by importing /exporting data files which can be used in this application;

Version 1.1 – Adds support for iOS 7

Coming Soon !!!

DD_Calc_320

This app is applied in the oil well drilling and provides a useful tool to make the calculations more common in directional drilling to help students, drillers, technicians, drilling engineers and other professionals of Oil and Gas industry.

– Calculates the survey parameters between two survey stations using the five methods (tangential, tangential balanced, minimum curvature, radius of curvature and average angle)
– Calculates the parameters of the 2D wells (types I, II and horizontal)
– Calculates the parameters of a 3D section (changing of the inclination and azimuth between the sections)
– Calculates the projection of the Horizontal Departure on the target azimuth (vertical section)
– Saves data on iCloud to share between iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad

Note:

These calculations tools are available on the app “Directional Survey” for iPhone and “Directional Survey HD” for iPad and  “Directional Drilling” for Mac OS X, also available on the App Store.

This app is designed for both iPhone and iPad. It can to be installed on iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.
