The Drilling Hydraulics provides to driller, tool pushers, engineers, chemists, students and other professionals in the petroleum industry a productivity tool helpful in drilling of oil wells for hydraulics calculations, optimization of the penetration rate and can help on the decision on selection of bit nozzles.

Well Features:

– Well Planning: Onshore or Offshore (riser, casing, liner and open hole). Vertical or Directional Type I.
– Drill string: 2 drill pipes, heavy weight, 2 drill collars, drilling motor and drill bit (w/ until 12 nozzles).
– Volume, capacity, strokes, hydrostatic and drilling hydraulics calculations;

Surface Equipment:

– 04 mud pumps
– Surface connections: standpipe, mud hose, swivel, top drive, kelly, stands
– Choke diameter
– Elevation system weight;

Directional Well:

– This app works with Directional Well Type I and Horizontal, only.
– For other features in directional wells, we recommend the “Directional Drilling Hydraulics” application available in our portfolio in the App Store.

Workover Simulator

This application provides well control simulations on production wells in workover operations with coiled tubing and slickline on landing rigs for training in Oil & Gas.

A surface production well (vertical or directional) is used to practice basic operations like moving the coiled tubing into the tubing string and circulating a lesser density fluid, with density smaller that the formation equivalent density, to put the well in flow (underbalance condition) to well control practices: hydraulics calculations, swabbing (on tripping out) and control methods including static volumetric (lubricate and bleed) and bullheading.

Slickline Simulator

This application provides well simulation on production wells in workover operations with slickline on landing rigs for training in Oil & Gas.

A surface production well (vertical or directional) is used to practice basic operations like moving the slickline into the tubing string with tools to install and to retrieve specific plugs.

These plugs are installed and retrieved in two trips using slickline.

Coiled Tubing Simulator

This application provides well control simulations on production wells in workover operations with coiled tubing on landing rigs for training in Oil & Gas.

A surface production well (vertical or directional) is used to practice basic operations like moving the coiled tubing into the tubing string and circulating a lesser density fluid, with density smaller that the formation equivalent density, to put the well in flow (underbalance condition) to well control practices: volumes and hydraulics calculations, swabbing (on tripping out), etc.

all of drilling simulator 1 PLUS Direcional and horizontal wells, well control using 01 choke and 01 single kick bubble on borehole and graphical analysis.

Drilling Simulator 3 (This App)

all of drilling simulator 2 PLUS:

1 – until 03 single kick bubbles on the borehole simultaneously

2 – standpipe manifold and choke manifold with 02 chokes and straight through

3 – Complications: failures schedule with Random option:

– Mud Pumps 1 and 2 “power end failure” or “fluid end failure”,

– Chokes 1 and 2 “plugged” or “washed”,

– One Drill Bit Nozzle “plugged” or “washed”

This app is designed for both iPhone and iPad.

This application provides practical simulations of the Dynamic Well Control on the Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) operations in the oil field services.

With Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD), when kicks occur, they are typically smaller, contained more quickly, and, in some cases, they may be circulated out through MPD equipment without drilling or circulation interruption.

This simulator is the new project based on the Drilling Simulator 2 available on our portfolio on the App Store, but specifically for dynamic well control on onshore and offshore operations (deepwater).

MPD System on this simulator:

1. RCD – Rotating Control Device
2. Annular Preventer (or Drill String Isolation Tool – DSIT)
3. Automated Choke for CBHP (Constant Bottom Hole Pressure), Constant Drill Pipe Pressure and Constant Choke Pressure.
4. RPD – Rig Pump Diverter
5. BPP – BackPressure Pump

Additional features:
1. Driller Interface based on Pressure Gauge, Weight Indicator, Rotary Torque gauge and Geolograph.
2. Choke Interface based on Hydraulic Choke Digital Panel.
3. Graph in full screen (with background color in black or white) for analysis.
4. Special screen layout optimised for iPhones 6 / Plus and iPad Pro
5. Auto/Manual Control on MPD Choke ONLY.
Note: For well control based on conventional rig choke panel, please buy the “Drilling Simulator 2”.

The Drilling Cost Advanced provides to the drillers, toolpushers, drilling engineers, students and other professionals in the petroleum industry a productivity tool helpful in drilling operations to calculate the drilling cost per length unit drilled, analysis of drill bit performance and to use in the planning phase of oil wells.
Formula:
Drilling Cost = (BC$ + RC$ (DT + TT)) ÷ LD

BC$ = Bit Cost,$
RC$ = Rig Cost per hour, $ / h
DT = Drilling Time, h
TT = Tripping Time, h
LD = Length Drilled (foot or meter)

Quadratic Regression:

This application provides an advanced feature that is the modeling of data Drilling Cost vs. Length Drilled (or Drilling Time) using quadratic regression. The minimum point of the parable may correspond to the time of the drill bit, where will occur the minimum cost. The more the R squared is close to 1, the result will be better.

Drilling Cost = c + b (LD) + a (LD)ˆ2
